1. What can I scan with a Colortrac large format scanner?
Colortrac scanners are ideal for digitising CAD drawings, architectural plans, maps, blueprints, posters, graphics and other oversized documents. They’re suitable for a wide range of technical, business and creative applications.
2. Which Colortrac large format scanner is right for me?
That depends on what and how much you need to scan. The SmartLF SCi offers an excellent balance of speed, performance and value, while the SmartLF SGi is suited to more demanding image-quality applications. For scanning on the move, the SmartLF Scan provides a highly portable alternative.
3. How do CZUR scanners handle curved book pages?
CZUR software can automatically detect the document, correct page curvature, flatten the scanned image and split facing left and right pages. This helps produce clean, usable scans while allowing books to remain in a more natural open position without too much handling.
4. Do I need a computer to use a Colortrac scanner?
Most Colortrac scanning workflows use a Windows PC running SmartWorks software. The SmartLF Scan is different, with its own built-in controller allowing documents to be scanned to internal memory or a USB stick without a PC.
5. Can I use a Colortrac scanner with my large format printer?
Yes. A Colortrac scanner can form part of a scan-to-copy workflow with a compatible large format printer, giving you the flexibility to create a complete large format multifunction solution. SmartWorks Imaging software offers enhanced support for large format printers as well.
6. What support is available for Colortrac scanners?
The SmartLF Scan! includes a 1-year warranty, while SmartLF SCi and SGi models include 2 years. Warranty cover can be extended further, with on-site support options also available to help keep your scanner performing at its best.
