The Contex HD Ultra X range employs advanced Toshiba CCD sensors paired with premium lenses to deliver exceptional image quality across the range. With optical resolutions of up to 1200 dpi, HD Ultra X scanners capture outstanding detail with accurate colour reproduction, faithfully preserving even the finest elements of the original source.

Designed to handle a wide variety of media types, the HD Ultra X range features OTAC (Optimised Thickness Adjustment Control), allowing seamless scanning of materials from 2 mm up to 15 mm thick. Fast scanning speeds

The HD Ultra X range delivers impressive performance, with the 50 models offering scanning speeds of up to 17.8 inches per second in monochrome and 8.9 inches per second in colour, enabling fast digitisation without compromising image quality. For higher-volume environments, the 90 models increase colour scanning speeds to 17.8 inches per second, maximising productivity and throughput.

Enhanced connectivity

All Contex HD Ultra X scanners feature USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for ultra-fast image transfer. Contex’s xDTR3 USB technology provides one of the fastest data transfer rates available, while Gigabit Ethernet enables efficient network sharing and easy scanner control from multiple computers to support demanding workflows.

Easy-to-use design

Equipped with an intuitive scanning control panel, the Contex HD Ultra X range gives users complete control of the scanner. A three-position speed control allows scanning speed to be adjusted directly on the device, ideal for delicate originals. A customisable one-touch scan button can also be configured to launch preferred software, save to designated folders, or send scans via email.

The HD Ultra X range pairs seamlessly with Nextimage, Contex’s award-winning large format scanning software. Now in version 7, with FADGI 3-star compliance and X-Rite powered colour management, Nextimage provides powerful editing and enhancement tools, revealing hidden detail and restoring even the faintest originals with precision.
