1. What is an overhead scanner and how does it work?
An overhead scanner captures documents from above using a camera-based scanning system. Originals are placed beneath the scanner rather than fed through rollers or positioned on a flatbed, making scanning quick and straightforward.
2. What can I scan with an overhead scanner?
Overhead scanners can capture loose documents, A3 originals, photographs, magazines, books and other mixed media. Their open scanning area also makes them useful for originals that may be awkward to handle with a conventional scanner.
3. Can overhead scanners scan A3 documents?
Yes. Many overhead scanners are designed to capture A3 or similarly sized originals in a single scan. Always check the maximum scanning area of the individual model to make sure it suits the documents you work with.
4. What is the difference between an overhead scanner and a flatbed scanner?
